Sept & Oct Down

Good Morning

Hope you are all well and the weather is as beautiful where you are as it is here.  It's gorgeous.  Here in the desert it's gotten a little nippy at night but the days have been perfect.

This card is for our granddaughter who loves all things green.  After cutting a  3 1/2" circle with SB I used an EK Success Corner punch to create my frame.  This is how it's done.  Don't you love it?!  After finishing the card my stamped and embossed sentiment faded into the velum. I've gone over it with a marker.  It looks better IRL.   I've used two pieces of lace side by side, the ribbon hides the seam.

Gosh I love my friends and family but why is it they all have special occasions in Sept, Oct and Nov.  Don't they know I should be getting ready for the holidays?
I took this photo before going to the PO yesterday.  Only eight were mailed but this is my pile for Sept and Oct.

Thankfully not so many needed for Nov.

  1. Good Lord, Bernie, that is one HUGE load of cards!! You are so very thoughtful to your friends and family! I guess the plus side of having all those to do in the fall and winter months is that it keeps you out of trouble!!

  2. Goodness me Bernie what a lovely card and the tutorial was amazing you have done a beautiful job on it ......its stunning and thank you for sharing this l might give it ago myself sometime xx

  3. Hi Bernie

  4. How beautiful, Bernie! I'll definitely be checking out that tutorial for the frame with the corner punch--it's awesome! My gosh, I don't send out that many cards all year long! I can't imagine what your stack of Holiday cards must look like! ~Hugs, Cheryl

  5. SO very beautiful. Love what you did with the corner punch to create the frame (I try that, and mine never turn out so lovely!). The pale green is just perfect and the lace ...oh my! She'll love it. TFS

  6. Thanks Mary, I practiced on some magazine pages rather then use up good CS, still not perfect, need to snip a few spots with scissors but it’s close enough.

  7. oh this is lovely! I love the bow and the flower together and the die cut frame makes a great centrepiece!
